Xmas in Brisbane

The magic of Christmas has arrived in Brisbane, with Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner launching another epic program of festivities and unveiling shiny new ornaments that will deck the halls of Queen Street Mall.
There will be an oversized gingerbread throne, giant baubles, star seating and Christmas trees clad with decorative tessellating triangle patterns – which are all great for festive photo opportunities. There are also decorations that act as play spaces for children with huge Santa and reindeer characters they can walk through.
This year’s Gold Lotto City Hall Lights will return with a fantastic new Australian animal story by children’s author Samantha Wheeler where Clarence the koala searches for the perfect gift. The much-loved Santa’s Stable will return to Reddacliff Place with a special chance for families to take selfies with Santa’s reindeer Rocky and Radar.
